Interflection
Assemblages created from macro-photographs, mirrors, and glass, highlighting our reflective and interdependent experiences with the natural world.
The images are selected from an ongoing collection of photographs (The Hideous, Howling Wilderness) shot while on solitary outings in nature. Using a macro cellphone lens or a point-and-shoot camera, these quick, immediate images expose the small worlds around us, revealing the moments of beauty, struggle, and death of their inhabitants.
The 16″x24″ photographs are mounted on panels with glass cabochons, mirrors, and other light-reflecting objects, integrating the viewer and the immediate environment into the intimate scenes.
