Wind on the Wing: Installed on the outside of Wave Hill's Glyndor Gallery window, 12 wind-driven pinwheels influence sound recordings of commonly heard, local Bronx birds and associated tones. The speed of each wind-turned pinwheel affects the variations in the projection and audio, which are seen and heard inside the gallery. When the pinwheels are still, an automated modulation gradually changes the sounds and images. Bird species include the House Finch, Red-winged Blackbird, Northern Cardinal, Dark-Eyed Junco, White-Breasted Nuthatch, Tufted Titmouse, Black-capped Chickadee, Blue Jay, Northern Flicker, Downy Woodpecker, and Mourning Dove.

The artworks in this exhibition delve into the relationship between birds and their habitats. Artists include Tatiana Arocha, Tanya Chaly, Marna Chester, Nina Katchadourian, Paula McCartney, Jeff Mertz, Peter Morgan, Sarah Nicholls, James Prosek, Jenna Spevack and Fred Tomaselli.
